    All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST and delivery charges for the North Island. Quotes for delivery to the South Island will be provided on request. The price offered is the total price paid with no hidden costs. We can either deliver or arrange delivery of our products to you anywhere in the North and South Islands of New Zealand.


    When ordering, you must complete all mandatory fields in the “Shop”. This allows us to contact you about your order and deliver the products to you at your correct address.

    Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, cheque or internet banking when you submit your order. Secure systems safeguard your details. We don’t hold your credit card details. If, however, you prefer to pay by internet banking or cheque, please contact us before placing your order at admin@halvesandwholes.co.nz

    Upon receipt and processing of your order, confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail. On delivery of your order, you will receive a packing slip showing the weight of your meat together with the GST invoice.

    If at any time you want to reconsider your order, PLEASE contact us as soon as possible after ordering and we will use our best endeavours to meet your request.

    Meat purchased through our website for the purpose of resale is prohibited.


    The processing

    Slaughter space is booked at least five days before slaughter.  The carcass is delivered to the cutting house within three days of slaughter.  All beef carcasses are hung to improve the quality of the product.

    Cutting and packaging of the beef carcass is usually completed within two days after hanging (ageing) is completed.

    Sheep carcasses are cut and packed within five days of slaughter.


    Our sheep are slaughtered with carcass weights between 20 and 23 kg.

    Our beef are slaughtered with target carcasses weights of 220 kg.  Yields do vary but you can expect to receive approximately 150 kg of packaged meat.

    Packaged meat yields and weights depend on the bone-in and bone-out cuts selected in the “Shop”.


    Your satisfaction is important to us as your satisfaction guarantees our success. If you are unhappy with the product/s or the service, or you do not receive the products/cuts you expected, we will use our best endeavours to correct the order.

    The delivery times are the days after your meat has been processed and packaged. For the North Island the delivery time is 1 to 3 business days and for the South Island is 2 to 4 business days.

    It is important to note that the beef carcass is hung for up to 21 days after slaughter before processing while sheep carcasses are processed the same week as slaughter.

    All meat is delivered fresh chilled unless specifically requested by you.

    We will advise you of the likely delivery date when the order is placed and we will contact you when the meat has been processed to confirm delivery.

    We will deliver the products to the address specified by you at the time of you placing your order. As well as your home address, we are happy to deliver to your workplace. We can’t deliver to a PO Box and we do not want to leave the meat unattended at your home address (for obvious reasons).  To ensure a successful delivery, please notify us as soon as possible if your delivery address, e-mail address or contact telephone details change.

    If your delivery is delayed, we will advise you as soon as we are aware of the delay and advise you of an alternative delivery date and time.



    We collect information about you when you visit our website. This information may be used to:

    • respond to your queries or requests.
    • process your orders;
    • monitor those who access our website; and
    • profile the people accessing our website.

    Privacy is important and will not pass on your details to anybody else without your permission, other than to enable us to deliver product/s purchased to you or where we are required to by law to provide the information. You have the right to view your personal details that we hold about you at any time and we will correct any incorrect information that is held about you.

    All personal information collected is kept secure and confidential.

    If you have ordered from us, we may from time to time e-mail you details of our products including new products which we think may be of interest to you. Update e-mails sent will contain an “unsubscribe” link which you can use to stop receiving future information.


    The copyright to all content on this website including graphics, images, layouts and texts either belongs to us or we have a license to use such materials.


    Our object is to ensure that the information we include on this website is accurate and up to date, however, we do not warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of such information. We reserve the right to correct any apparent errors or omissions if or when advised.  We reserve the right to make changes and amendments to any of the Terms and Conditions as or when any new product/s is made available in the “Shop”, or at any other time that is deemed necessary.
